HEALTH COVERAGE AFTER RETIRMENT:THE EFFECTS OF LAW 27/2017 ON EMPLOYEES & EMPLOYERS IN LEBANON  | 27-04-2017

On the February 16th, Lebanese Law no. 27/2017 came into effect, which under certain conditions, extends medical and health care coverage to employees of the private sector after their retirement. The NSSF has finalized the executive rules that clarify and interpret the ways this new Law will be applied.

We consider this to be a great achievement for the Lebanese society. However, the introduction of this law does require that employers, employees and the government pay additional contributions to the NSSF to fund this new coverage.

Employers and employees across Lebanon will be impacted by this new law and need to understand implications on their organizations. This executive workshop is aimed at introducing the details of this Law no. 27/2017 and its applicability to HR, Finance and Legal managers and employees of Lebanese Companies and Institutions.
